A Cooperative Association of Independent Music Teachers Founded in 1971

The MMTA is a  not-for-profit association representing over 40 music teachers (piano,
instumental, vocal and theory) in Milton and surrounding Halton communities.

To work cooperatively as teachers to provide opportunities to foster and
recognize musical excellence in our students and the communities we live in;

To encourage and inspire one another as teachers and musicians and to
provide opportunities to teachers for professional development;

To provide local performance opportunities for all of our students by way of
monthly MMTA recitals and the Biennial Milton Music Festival.
