Membership Info

The Milton Music Teachers’ Association welcomes new members to be part of this dynamic team of professional teachers. Now more than 40 teachers strong, our members benefit from the expertise and collegiality of all involved. Our group is embodied of those new to teaching, new to Milton, and many with more than 30 years of experience teaching music.

The MMTA meets monthly to coordinate our annual activities, and regularly engages in round-table pedagogical discussions. If you are interested in becoming a member, please consider the following benefits:

  • Opportunity to participate in monthly meetings and pedagogical discussions.
  • Access to professional development seminars and workshops hosted by leading pedagogues.
  • Potential for students to perform at any of our recitals each year and to take part in the Biennial Milton Music Festival.
  • Ability to network with members to provide the highest level of instruction possible to the students of Milton and it’s surrounding communities.

Our active members generously volunteer their time in appointed administrative roles, or through their involvement in our recitals and festivals. For more information on how to become a member, please contact us at membership@mmta.ca and consider joining us at our next meeting.
